These include: hugging and kissing in public, chewing gum, not taking off your shoes when entering a restaurant or a home, and also looking into the kitchen of a house that you are visiting. Even if you are not a history buff, you will surely enjoy learning the history of this great nation. You will have a better understanding on how their economy and culture were shaped because of the important events in their past. If you are doing business in Japan, it would help you greatly to know what worked with the Japanese people that brought them economic power even after their defeat in the second world war. Every intern or trainee in Japan should do this so that they will not be left confused on what to do when they make certain business or work decisions there.

Learn About Their Work Standards

The Japanese are well known for their work ethics and standards. You will probably know about this if you have worked for a Japanese multinational company. You know that they are very serious about the time. That you should not be late for work and in meeting your deadlines. You will perhaps become surprised about some of these since you are more accustomed to the practices in the Western hemisphere.

Start Loving Their Food

The Japanese love to eat and they have a high respect for how they prepare their meals as well as even with the act of eating. So if you are going to start your summer internship in Japan you may want to get familiarize with the difference tastes and foods that most Japanese eat on a daily basis.
